Let Us Clear Your Doubts Regarding Home Renovation

Q. What do custom-made cabinets mean?

A. Our cabinets and furniture are made-to-order based on your design and specifications. We never order pre-built cabinets and modify them to fit your home.

Q. What is the best kind of wood to use?

A. Our professionals determine the correct materials to be used based on what is to be built and the finish or look desired. The best material in one situation could be a poor choice in another.

Q. How do I schedule an appointment?

A. You can schedule an appointment with us either by calling 909-473-0520 or by speaking with a customer service professional on our toll-free number 800-881-3345. You can also get in touch with us by filling out our online request form.

Q. What does refacing mean?

A. First, we remove your old doors, drawer fronts, and face frames.

Next, we prepare your existing cabinet surfaces for the installation of the new factory pre-finished wood face frames. We then bond the new factory pre-finished material to your existing cabinets using high-strength contact cement and nails. We finish it off using new crown, base, and scribe moldings.

Just before we finish, we install any other upgrades you may have purchased, such as new drawer boxes featuring self-closing drawer slides or maybe pull-outs in those hard-to-reach base cabinets.

Lastly, we install the new factory pre-finished new doors and drawer fronts, all with new hardware.

Q. What are the steps involved in a custom cabinetry project?

A. Design

  • Meet with Designer
  • Determine needs/uses
  • Sketches
  • Approvals

Installation

  • Transportation
  • Installation
  • Cleanup

Production

  • Gathering materials, fabrication, assembly prep, and finish

Q. Why should I choose Moreno & Sons Custom Cabinets?

A. We offer attention to detail, individual needs, and quality of craftsmanship only a small shop can offer. Our cabinetry will add beauty and functionality to your home for generations.

Q. What if I need an unusual sized cabinet?

A. Every piece is designed and specifically built for each individual project. There are no outrageous markups for unusual or oversized pieces.

Q. Can I match the wood tones or stain of an existing cabinet or furniture?

A. Yes. We can match or create any color you desire.

Q. Your company offers both refacing and new countertops and cabinets. How do I decide what is best for my kitchen?

A. This often is not an easy decision. You must ask yourself the following questions:

1. Are you happy with your existing countertops?
If you answer yes to this question and do not want to replace your countertops, then your only option is to reface.

2. Do you hate the layout of your existing kitchen?
If you answer yes to this question, then you should look at what kind of custom built cabinets we can offer you.

3. Do you have a very limited budget?
In most cases, refacing can save you 20% to 40% over the cost of new custom-built cabinets. You could also look at some of the less expensive modular cabinet lines Moreno & Sons Custom Cabinets has to offer.

Your best bet is to allow us the opportunity to send a designer to your home for a FREE consultation. The designer will present you with all the options best suited for your situation.

Q. Do you sell cabinetry for rooms other than the kitchen?

A. Yes! If you have special ideas for the bedroom, bath, dining room, great room, or some other space, we can help you bring them to life. From built-in cabinetry for entertainment and media equipment to freestanding pieces like armoires, we will handcraft and hand-finish each and every piece exactly the way you want it.

Q. Am I limited when it comes to choosing various types of wood?

A. No. While we prefer to use local sources for our lumber, we have resources to obtain any species of wood you prefer.

Q. How long will it take to complete the remodel?

A. Depending on the size of the remodel project and what you want to have done, it can take from 4 to 8 weeks from design to finished product and sometimes more, but you know it is always worth the wait when it comes to custom cabinets.

Q. What are Antique Distressed, Stained, and Glazed surfaces?

A. Antique Distressed surfaces are physically dented, dinged, and rasped for a time-worn look.

Moreno & Son’s Custom Cabinets has a variety of Stains available. A Stain is applied to wood to darken it or change the color without hiding grain or texture.

A Glaze is a smooth, glossy and fairly transparent coating applied to wood that highlights the surface that shines through it.
